AMX to Open Offices in Spain

AMX®, the worldwide leader in making hardware and software solutions that simplify the way people interact with technology in total environment solutions, announces, as of July 1, 2009, new direct offices in Spain. AMX will establish AMX Iberia sales operations with regional offices in Seville and Madrid. AMX Iberia will cover the territories of Spain and Portugal and represent all AMX product lines in these territories. The new operation will be managed by Manuel Barazal, former managing director of IberComm-Tec, who has been with AMX for 15 years.

"With the recent acquisitions, product line expansions, and a growing presence in Europe, the time is right to have these offices covering Spain and Portugal. The Spanish and Portuguese markets are also showing strong growth for AMX and I am confident this will continue under Manuel's leadership," said Timothy Penn, former managing director, AMX Europe and current vice president, international market development.

AMX Iberia will provide technical support, training, marketing, and warehouse facilities for AMX in Spain and Portugal. The AMX Iberia team has 15 members and each member has significant experience across all AMX product lines.
